Pull-type expanders

Pull-style expanders do not need a counter bore to be used. The integrated mandrel inserts the plug into the hole, before pulling it back to form a complete seal. Pull-style expanders are ideal when holes are located across different faces. They are easily aligned making them ideal for angled channels. They can be set quickly using a hydro-pneumatic or battery powered hand tool easily installed into an assembly or production line.

Push-type expanders

Push-style expanders require a counter bored hole for correct installation. The plug is placed up to the counter bore. The ball is pressed into a seated cup. The ball causes the serrated grooves to expand and anchor into the base material, forming a completely secure metal-to-metal seal.
